September 1st is “Disaster Prevention Day”

To ensure that people know what to do in the event of an emergency, there will be a disaster drill that all citizens can participate in.

■Date and time: Sept. 1st (Mon.) 2014 at 10:30 a.m. *The drill will happen simultaneously throughout the city. 

(1)Take appropriate measures to protect yourself during the drill. 

(2)Check the information that is broadcasted during an emergency.
  At approx. 10:35 a.m.
 ○An emergency bulletin email will be sent out as part of the drill.
 ・During the drill a chime will sound.
  ○An announcement about the drill will be broadcasted over the emergency speakers.
 *This will be limited to the coast of Moji Ward and Kokuraminami Ward as well as Ainoshima Island and Umashima Island off the coast of Kokurakita Ward.

(3)Double check evacuation procedures and evacuation sites used during an emergency.
