Azu 50th Anniversary ~ Half a Century of Manga Enthusiasts ~

In 1966, a manga enthusiasts’ group, Azu Manga Research Society was founded by local junior high school students in Kitakyushu.

Their active involvement in Kitakyushu and Shimonoseki areas continue today, with hosting exhibitions as well as regularly publishing a magazine of the same title - Azu.

In order to pass on the passion for manga, the feeling of contentment gained from drawing manga that spans over half a century to the next generation, the group will be holding various events such as exhibitions and workshops.

Come along and experience the passion of Kitakyushu’s manga enthusiasts - a passion that has continued for over half a century.

・Dates: March 19th (Sat.) ~ April 10th (Sun.) 2016
・Venue: Kitakyushu Manga Museum Exhibition Room (Aru Aru City 5th Floor)
・Opening Hours: 11:00 a.m. ~ 7:00 p.m.
・Closed: March 22nd (Tues.)
・March 29th (Tues.) and April 5th (Tues.) will be open as part of Special Spring Vacation Opening.
・Entrance and Participation Fees: Free
・Hosted by: Azu Manga Research Society and Kitakyushu Manga Museum
