Baby Stations

In the City of Kitakyushu there are efforts to support child rearing. Part of this effort is the registration of “Baby Stations.” These facilities allow parents and caretakers of infants to be able to give milk and change diapers while they are out in public.

Registered facilities have a “Baby Station” symbol marked on a banner, flag, or sticker placed in plain view so that users can stop by with ease.

The “Baby Station” project is not limited to regional offices and public facilities. There are commercial buildings and private facilities that are taking part in this project as well. As of August 1, 2009 there are 160 facilities in the city (118 public facilities、42 private facilities)

The next time you are out in public, please stop by and use the “Baby Stations” to give milk or change diapers.
