A wide range of public transport is available, including rail, bus, and monorail, making it quick and easy to get to classes, or to the city center for shopping. The relatively short commute to school means you spend less time in transit, so you have more time for important things.

Bicycle

Many international students cycle to their school or part-time job. On-street parking is prohibited; please use one of the bicycle parking lots in the downtown area. Rental bicycles are also available.

Means of Transport Used to Travel outside the City/Prefecture

Located between Kyushu and Honshu, Kitakyushu City is an important hub for land, sea and air transportion. With the Shinkansen (bullet train) connecting Hakata and Kokura in just 15 minutes, ferry services to the Kansai region, and Kitakyushu Airport, a 24-hour operable offshore airport, Kitakyushu boasts excellent land, sea and air access to other parts of Kyushu and Honshu.
